Well my dear friends and listeners, our photo shoot was a smashing success.
our wonderful friend and photographer Daniella Koontz took some
fantastic photos of us on Saturday. We've put them in a gallery on the photos
page, so be sure to check them out! We want to give a very big thank you to the kind
people at the Stetson Mansion and the Henry A. DeLand House
for allowing us to use their beautiful locations to take our photographs!

Mr. Wolfe and I had a recording session last week and recorded bass for few more songs
and we plan on doing a little more on Thursday... so we're getting closer and closer
to releasing the album. And we'll finally let you know the title... the upcoming
album by The Cog is Dead will be called "Steam Powered Stories." We've chosen this
title because so many of our songs are not just about emotions... they
are often short stories about characters and events. We are all very busy
people, but we are very close to recording the last few tracks of this album.

As always, exciting progress continues! More again in the near future!

Greetings, dear friends, and welcome to the year 2010! My fellow travelers
and I have been hard at work writing new songs for your listening pleasure.
You will be happy to know that soon... very soon... we shall complete the
recording of our brand new musical album! A mix of jolly, lighthearted tunes
as well as some powerful, darker pieces. A bit of older styles and some contemporary
as well... but ultimately music we hope you will all find entertaining and fun!

Aside from recording, we'll be taking photographs for our upcoming album (the
name of which we shall reveal at a later date) at the end of this month and we
are going to try very hard to have the album ready for a spring release.

Well, that's all for now. Much excitement to come in the following months!

Well my dear friends, I have more to share with you. Much going on as
we continue to write and record new music (with an eventual album release
sometime in the future!) We have a new song on our Myspace page called
let me be your man. Once again, we've done something quite different
from our usual rocking style, but it's old fashioned and featured a lot
of banjo and we hope you'll find it to be a lot of fun!

The other thing to mention is that The Cog is Dead is now also on Facebook
and twitter. We're not sure we have a lot of interesting things to say... but
it's there none-the-less! And I'm sure you've already noticed that we've
added a few new pictures to the splash screen and home page, as well as
new pictures on myspace and facebook!

Right. That's it for now. Hope you like our new pictures and music!

Greetings, salutations and hello my dear friends. Captain sprocket
here and I thought that you would all be delighted to hear that we
have written and recorded a brand new song for your listening pleasure!
Our new tune ''The Death of The Cog'' can be found on our myspace page
and it's a bit darker that some of our other material, but I wrote
this particular piece about the man who invented the digital clock,
so understandably I do not have very warm feelings toward this fellow.
But we are sure that you will enjoy this new bit of music and will
continue to listen and help us to spread the word! It's not too late!
With enough help we CAN resurrect the cog and restore it to it's
former glory! Enjoy the melodies and take care!

Greetings one and all! I, Captain John Sprocket of The Cog is Dead
am proud to announce the launch of our brand new website! Yes, it
certainly has been a long time coming, but one must tend to many things
and it is often difficult to find the time to sit at a keyboard and
laboriously fiddle with HTML code and similar internet things. But
at long last it is finally here and looking better than ever! So please
feel free to look around, hear the sounds, and check back to find out
what new melodies the boys and I manage to think up and display for
all to hear! Unfortunately they do not make a computer that runs on
steam so I am forced to use this electric technology while I am here.
But hopefully soon, after we have toured the world and spread our message
the word will get out that the only logical (and beautiful) source of
energy is STEAM ENERGY! Anyway, that is all for now. Take care, my little
Coglettes!
